With years of experience in tile planning and sales, SEIWACERAMICS partnered with Design Director Takahide Sawada to launch SC — a project dedicated to the pursuit of "SERIOUS CERAMIC."

We chose to re-embrace tiles as true ceramic art, actively incorporating the handcrafted approach of traditional ceramic production. Working closely with our artisans, we pursue textures and expressions that can only be achieved through meticulous craftsmanship — and bring them to life in every tile.

As a result, SC tiles offer the authentic, sensory texture of true ceramics — each one revealing its own unique character as an individual work of fired clay.

Our hope is that our "SERIOUS CERAMIC" inspires infinite possibilities and profound emotion in all who experience it.

"SERIOUS CERAMIC" transcends the physical nature of tiles, bringing emotion and meaning to every space.

"SERIOUS CERAMIC" is created by drawing on SEIWACERAMICS' extensive experience in tile planning and sales — both in Japan and internationally — while harnessing the rich craftsmanship of the Tajimi area, a region renowned for both tile and ceramic production.

Through techniques such as slip casting and the careful attention of small to medium-scale production, we deliver tiles with the distinctive character that only handcrafted ceramics can offer.

We reinterpret the craftsmanship of our region and constantly embrace new challenges. We see our tiles not as mere building materials, but as art pieces that shape beautiful spaces and evoke emotion.
